Roads, better than their reputation 
For many years, the East Belgian roads were thought of as “back roads“ with excessive potholes. For some time now, under pressure by politics and the assertiveness of local administrations, this condition has definitely improved.
The larger roads are intended for transit and heavy traffic and are usually in faultless condition.
 National and regional roads are well developed and carefully maintained for international and regional traffic.
The local communities maintain local roads. More and more bicycle paths and sidewalks ensure safety in our towns.
