Bütgenbach – in the heart of the Eifel  Today, approximately 5,500 inhabitants live in the community of Bütgenbach, which covers an area 97 km2. The community encompasses four larger villages: Weywertz, Bütgenbach, Nidrum and Elsenborn, as well as four smaller communities: Berg, Elsenborn-Lager, Küchelscheid and Leykaul.
