Malmedy – Flower City 1996 – Paper City – Abbey  The community of Malmedy
At one time, Malmedy and St. Vith shared their history. Today, it is part of the French community in Belgium. Toward the end of the last century, based on its beginnings as an Abbey, this Walloon town became the center of tourism in East Belgium. The leather industry of old has made space for more modern activities in this growing economic location.
